Every capability below reflects work we have actually performed for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory — not a generic menu. Satellite ground-system architecture and engineering

We architect and engineer the ground segment end to end — telemetry, tracking, and command processing, ground data systems, and earth-terminal communications — designed for the uptime and determinism that live spacecraft operations demand. Our designs favor maintainability and clean integration so systems remain operable for the full life of a mission.

Mission-critical software development (C, C++, Java)

Dependable software is our core. Alethium develops mission-critical applications in C, C++, and Java, carrying each system through requirements, architecture, implementation, and rigorous verification and validation. Our Jason-1 ground software received JPL's Software of the Year award — a benchmark for the quality we hold ourselves to on every engagement.

System integration with international mission partners

NASA JPL missions such as the Jason ocean-altimetry series are joint efforts spanning NASA, CNES, NOAA, and EUMETSAT. Alethium integrates systems across agencies, standards, and data formats so that multi-partner operations run as one coherent pipeline, with the interfaces and data exchange handled reliably on both sides.

Long-term sustainment of multi-decade satellite missions

Earth-observation missions operate for decades — the U.S.–European altimetry series has run continuously from TOPEX/Poseidon in 1992 through the operational Jason-3 mission. Alethium provides the disciplined, low-risk sustainment that keeps these long-lived systems current, secure, and operational year after year.

Modernization of legacy mission systems

We modernize aging mission systems without disrupting operations — consolidating the Jason fleet onto a single-baseline Java ground architecture with ODBC integration and dynamic external earth-terminal communication, and replacing brittle legacy components with maintainable, well-tested code that a team can confidently carry forward.
